About the Doctors
Our doctors are excited to provide the Prairie Village, Overland Park, Leawood and surrounding Kansas City area with the latest in cutting edge chiropractic care and rehabilitation therapy to help patients improve their lives! Read below for more information on each chiropractor.
Dr. Thomas Cotter
is a clinic co-director for Active Health Solutions. Dr. Cotter attended Kansas State University where he met his wife and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (exercise science). He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) graduating Cum Laude. On top of the rigorous requirements he fulfilled to receive his DC, Dr. Cotter completed over 450 hours of continuing education in the areas of chiropractic medicine, physiotherapy, neurology, developmental kinesiology, soft tissue techniques, sports performance, and nutrition. He has been certified by Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) and Graston Technique for soft tissue treatments, as well as being certified by the Motion Palpation Institute for full-body treatments, the Central Institute for Human Performance for the treatment of TMJ disorders, and Titleist Performance Institute (T.P.I.) for golf swing evaluation and correction. Dr. Cotter is a candidate for Diplomate status in the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Outside of the clinic Dr. Cotter is a board member on the Kansas City Track Club (local running club). In his free time, Dr. Cotter enjoys spending time with his wife, dog, friends and family as well as biking, golf and running marathons.
Dr. Jeff Remsburg
is a clinic co-director for Active Health Solutions. Dr. Remsburg received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University and his Master of Science degree from University of Texas-Arlington. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Remsburg has also completed over 600 hours of continuing education in the areas of chiropractic medicine, advanced adjusting techniques, rehabilitation, pain neurology, developmental kinesiology, soft tissue techniques, TMJ treatment, sports performance and nutrition. He has taken courses with Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Motion Palpation Institute, Central Institute of Human Performance, Prague School of Rehabilitation and Manual Medicine, McKenzie Method and many others. He is also a candidate for Diplomate status in the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Dr. Remsburg is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Kansas Chiropractic Association. When he isn't at the clinic, he is a board member for KC Multisport (local triathlon group). He also enjoys biking, running and competing in triathlons.
